Situated in the Val de Travers district on the border of Swiss cantons of Vaud and Neuenburg, the Cruex de Van is a scenic horse-shaped natural rocky arena. The vertical rock is 160 meters height and it surrounds a valley that is around 4 kilometers long and around 1 kilometer in width. This is formed due to erosion in the last ice age and its name Cruex has originated from a Celtic word that meant deep valley.
